I was offered and accepted a new job in Austin beginning 8/2. I gave notice at my current job and I'm leaving the bay area early next week, stopping in Santa Fe to visit with my mom for about a week, then on to get set up in Austin before starting work. Two old-time friends live there and I've visited and danced there a couple of times, so already have a social network. If y'all have any friends or contacts there that might be of interest let me know. I'm really looking forward to this new opportunity in this exciting new town.

best wishes on your new adventure there edward! one of my fav. music shows was austin city limits so you'll have no shortage of great music choices there. i hear it's a fairly political town too, so giv'em hell! but just remember your not aloud to have aural sex down there!lol in that regard you must be very very quiet:)
Wow, that's a surprise, Edward. I know you needed a change, work-wise, and Austin's a cool town. That's where I went to college. I still visit there from time to time, so I'll let you know next time I'm down that way. Best of luck to you!
One of the benefits I'll value most about living there is that work and most all of my social haunts will be within a 5-minute drive of my apartment. I'm really disgusted with having to get in my car and drive an hour to go anywhere, living in cow-town Napa. Two of my dance venues will be within walking distance, one right across the street. A health food store and most other shopping is also right across the street. And I can bicycle again to get to most other places. There's also an integral salon in town, again about a 5-minute drive.
Edward,
That sounds really appealing. I have heard a lot of good things about Austin.
Best Wishes,
Doug

What paths lie ahead for religion and spirituality in the 21st Century? How might the insights of modernity and post-modernity impact and inform humanity's ancient wisdom traditions? How are we to enact, together, new spiritual visions – independently, or within our respective traditions – that can respond adequately to the challenges of our times?

This group is for anyone interested in exploring these questions and tracing out the horizons of an integral post-metaphysical spirituality.
