"Some excerpts from this essay on the topic follow consistent with this thread and an IPS more generally. "Being merely ‘intellectual’ or ‘dark’ won’t work. One also has to also be deep. How to be deep instead of…"

Edward theurj Berge replied to Edward theurj Berge's discussion States, stages, the WC lattice and the fold
"Wilber of course does discuss states of consciousness in his AQAL model, even though imo he does tend to conflate them with a metaphysical realm. And Hanzi also discusses states in The Listening Society (chapters 12 and 13) as well as depth (chapter…"

Do our models get in the way? 8 Replies

Do our models get in the way? We've seen quite a few descriptions of an emerging paradigm known as the collaborative commons (CC). But a problem arises when we take another step by extrapolating from that data and then try to prescribe what we need…Continue

What paths lie ahead for religion and spirituality in the 21st Century? How might the insights of modernity and post-modernity impact and inform humanity's ancient wisdom traditions? How are we to enact, together, new spiritual visions – independently, or within our respective traditions – that can respond adequately to the challenges of our times?

This group is for anyone interested in exploring these questions and tracing out the horizons of an integral post-metaphysical spirituality.
