After much extended consideration I changed the name of my blog from Integral Postmetaphysical Enaction to the above. (Former blog postings in this thread.) It will still be at the same link. I've decided to change the name largely due to no longer having much interest in integral theory. Still some, but not enough to justify it in the name. I'm still interested in postmetaphysics, but who the hell has heard of that outside a select few eggheads? I am much more interested in motivating myself and others into participating with progressive ideals and enacting those policies in all domains. Keeping the old blog name was more than a bit off putting for that broader agenda. I'll keep the old name as a subtitle for now for those familiar with and searching for it. But my intent is to get more people involved in the hope of actually changing things for the better instead of engaging in interesting but mostly armchair speculations.

I retained the word enaction for a few reasons. It relates to specific philosophical models of embodied cognition (and/or realism) in which I'm still interested and will continue to write about. It is a progressive evolution over previous models highlighting our participation with co-creating our realities. Note the prefix co, indicating that though we participate the Real grounds and delimits that participation. But that's still egghead. Mostly because the word means creating law, which to me is the most effective way for us to implement our values in society. Hence a lot of my focus is on motivating us to participate in changing or creating laws aligned with progressive ideals.

The blog will still be the same except that the name will more accurately reflect what I've been doing here for the past several months. I hope the current audience will continue to read. And I hope the new name will attract new readers who are motivated to join me in participating in progressive ideals and enacting laws and structures to express that agenda.

Preventing cable company fuckery. John Oliver hilariously parodies net neutrality while also hitting home on the seriousness of the issue. And what you can do about it. He provides the address for FCC comments, and in fact shortly after providing it their website crashed. See the link for the video.

Clinton v. Warren. After reading it, please tell me who you would choose in this primary.

What regressives will do to win or stay in office. We all know they are spin masters. And that the spin is often just obfuscation and misdirection, usually not based in fact or what they really believe. So Bill Maher has a few ways they plan to spin their love of minorities to garner that vote. It's based an actual case that he applies to some of the others.

Yup, the regressives can't really be looked to for much open honesty. The fact is culture has developed but the political system has remained at a mythic structure. As has finance as I've shown in my Ka$h analogy! Proportional representation would be a political step up the developmental ladder within the systems of politics.

I'm arguing that the 'first past  the post' voting system is a holdover from patriarchal enlightenment political systems. That that system was fine when the main voting demographic was mainly white men, whether urban elites or rural religionists.

In SDI jargon: the current political system in N. A. is amber exit/orange enter. i.e.- implemented from 1600 A.D. to today. The systems structure hasn't changed to compensate for more complex demographics, although it has changed over that time to allow women and all peoples to participate. Even with that compensation though, the system itself has not evolved.

Democracy's jism. In this video Jon Stewart highlights all the regressive talking heads on Iraq, wrong the first time and still wrong about going in again. When the original reason for invasion was proven wrong, WMD's, they got on this spin about democracy being 'seeded' in Iraq. Wrong again.

Color-coded developmental rape chart. While the creators of this chart didn't see it as a SD color gradient for levels of rape, it seems to work out that way.

Ralph Nader on the left/right alliance. Nader's new book Unstoppable is about this topic. To discuss it his Center for the Study of Responsive Law held a day-long conference with members of both parties coming together on issues about which they agree: minimum wage, civil liberties, corporate welfare, the defense budget, trade, empire, Wall Street crime and the commercialization of childhood. See the above link for videos of each segment and Nader's opening remarks. Therein he talks about the 3 stages of such alignment, which starts with overwhelming public sentiment and action. Only then does it attract media and government attention, which then gets such issues on the legislative table. So it's on us to get the ball rolling.

The President skewers Congressional climate change deniers. And boy howdy does he. He makes them a laughingstock, which is exactly what they are.

The relevant comments start around 11:55 in the above linked video.

Want to save democracy? See the following video by Lawrence Lessig on the Mayday PAC, a superPAC raising money to support Congressional candidates dedicated to getting big money out of politics. We've been complaining about how our government is highjacked by big money, how we have no voice, how government doesn't care about us. Well here's your chance to do something significant to remedy that. Donate whatever you can afford. And most importantly, pass this along to everyone you know, for it is not being advertised and only gains strength through our efforts. Per the website they've already received $2 million, with another $3 million pledged. They need $2 million more in pledges by tomorrow to meet their second crowdfunding goal.

What paths lie ahead for religion and spirituality in the 21st Century? How might the insights of modernity and post-modernity impact and inform humanity's ancient wisdom traditions? How are we to enact, together, new spiritual visions – independently, or within our respective traditions – that can respond adequately to the challenges of our times?

This group is for anyone interested in exploring these questions and tracing out the horizons of an integral post-metaphysical spirituality.
