Yeah, the show was terrific -- acting, visuals, music.  And overall it is not nihilistic but trans-nihilistic, trans-cynical.  It is a premier example of what I (and Nietzsche) mean by Dionysian.  The redemption is the style and total embrace of the apparently fallen, flat and looped world of pagan darkness... but that embrace itself signifies both a transcendental pathway toward the Good AND evidence of a sensibility which is already beyond such a real as it passes through it.

Agreed! But who is The Yellow King? lol

They had a lot of fun with him last night at the Emmy's, the brunt of several jokes on his Oscar acceptance speech.

What paths lie ahead for religion and spirituality in the 21st Century? How might the insights of modernity and post-modernity impact and inform humanity's ancient wisdom traditions? How are we to enact, together, new spiritual visions – independently, or within our respective traditions – that can respond adequately to the challenges of our times?

This group is for anyone interested in exploring these questions and tracing out the horizons of an integral post-metaphysical spirituality.
