Integrating spirituality & activism to build a sustainable, caring world. See this website. The blurb:

A FREE ONLINE GLOBAL SUMMIT, May 19-21, 2015

Join an emerging movement of “spiritual progressives” who are committed to bridging divides and infusing more Spirit into social change – and help co-create new global standards based on loving kindness, ethical behavior and reverence for all.

Are you frustrated by “politics as usual” and looking for an alternative that is based on oneness, respect for life and lasting care for our planet? If so, you’re not alone! The world of politics too often seems separate from matters of heart and soul. We suffer dearly for this with polarized brawls, soundbite posturing and a reluctance to find the shared common ground that unites us all. And when this happens, it’s easy to feel powerless to create the kind of shifts that are so desperately needed in our world today.

It’s time for us to leave the bitter partisanship behind and begin to approach politics in a new way that reflects the highest and best in us: our shared values and aspirations, our boldest dreams and our tenderest hopes. That’s where The Politics of Love & Justice Summit comes in... illuminating an effective, Spirit-filled path for creating long-term positive changes in social structures and systems. During this unprecedented global telesummit, you'll hear from some of the brightest lights who are calling us forward in our political evolution toward a future of sustainability, health, peace and prosperity.

Get ready to discover powerful insights for integrating activism with spirituality to become a more effective change agent – with more compassion and regenerative energy for the the issues you most care about.

I was considering posting this as well, but didn't take the time, so thanks. Don't know how I'll find time to participate, but Cat Zavis is a local friend/acquaintance who teaches Non-Violent Communication, which I'm sure will percolate through the discussions.  So Ambo might want to take notice!

At least two of the interviewees are NVC practitioners: Miki Kashtan and Dominic Barter.  You can bet that Charles Eisenstein, David Korten, Shariff Abdulah, and Gar Alperovitz will be powerful speakers.

On this page one can replay the audio of the presentations, but only for a limited time. This one has David Korten's presentation, "Change the story: Change the future."

I've also downloaded the replay (for later listening after my ITC paper is finished) of this panel discussion between Miki Kashtan, Charles Eisenstein, and Dominic Barter.  Based on previous interviews I've heard with each of these people, I'm looking forward to it. The topic is "Building a Healthy Movement."

Miki Kashtan is a co-founder of Bay Area Nonviolent Communication (BayNVC). Her latest book, Reweaving Our Human Fabric: Working together to Create a Nonviolent Future...

Charles Eisenstein is a speaker and writer focusing on themes of human culture and identity. He is the author of several books, most recently Sacred Economics and The More Beautiful World our Hearts Know is Possible...

Dominic Barter develops social technologies to promote dialogue and partnership. In the mid-1990s, in Rio de Janeiro’s gang controlled favela shantytowns, he co-developed Círculos Restaurativos (Restorative Circles), a community-based and -owned practice for dynamic engagement with conflict...

What paths lie ahead for religion and spirituality in the 21st Century? How might the insights of modernity and post-modernity impact and inform humanity's ancient wisdom traditions? How are we to enact, together, new spiritual visions – independently, or within our respective traditions – that can respond adequately to the challenges of our times?

This group is for anyone interested in exploring these questions and tracing out the horizons of an integral post-metaphysical spirituality.
