Gebser Society Conference: Call for Papers

Gebser and AsiaIn 1961, Jean Gebser’s peregrinations in consciousness led him to visit parts of Asia, including India, Nepal, Pakistan, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Japan, and China. While in Sarnath, India—the place where Buddha delivered his first sermon some 2,500 years ago—Gebser had an unexpected and significant experience of satori, a kind of Buddhist awakening experience which resonated with his…See More

PatternDynamics: Following The Way Nature Organizes Itself to Deal with Complexity

I posted a blog entry about PatternDynamics on my site on Dec. 22nd, and it has since been reposted at Resilience.org, PeakOil.com, and a couple of Permaculture sites.  I thought I might repost it here as well...

Welcome to the Integral Postmetaphysical Spirituality group, David.  I look forward to your contributions.

Best wishes,

What paths lie ahead for religion and spirituality in the 21st Century? How might the insights of modernity and post-modernity impact and inform humanity's ancient wisdom traditions? How are we to enact, together, new spiritual visions – independently, or within our respective traditions – that can respond adequately to the challenges of our times?

This group is for anyone interested in exploring these questions and tracing out the horizons of an integral post-metaphysical spirituality.
