Here's a new song I wrote yesterday and today -- in memory of an extraordinary year.

Thanks, Thomas.  It's a song partly about loss -- but mostly about birth pangs, I feel.

It elicits mostly melancholy for me. I'd like to hope that the destruction of dictatorships in other countries will lead to a more equitable democracy, for example, but if the US is any guide then what hope I have is quashed. Even with OWS and the likely backlash in coming elections, the powers that be are so in control that it seems the only solution is a violent revolt, which would bring such destruction in an extended Dark Ages the likes we've never seen. I'm not feeling optimistic about the state of the world today and this song and imagery brought that out more keenly for me.

Here's a new song:  Dreaming on the Shores of Tanah Lot.

What paths lie ahead for religion and spirituality in the 21st Century? How might the insights of modernity and post-modernity impact and inform humanity's ancient wisdom traditions? How are we to enact, together, new spiritual visions – independently, or within our respective traditions – that can respond adequately to the challenges of our times?

This group is for anyone interested in exploring these questions and tracing out the horizons of an integral post-metaphysical spirituality.
