I've been thinking about that prankster Kesey and have come to the conclusion that he did more to destroy the promise of entheogens than any one man did. If Leary's approach had won  out there might have developed spiritual healing centres / part church /part pharmacy .

Hmmm. I wonder what Grof would think about this ?

Kesey turned me on to drugs and expanded consciousness, so for that I am grateful. Leary turned me on to a developmental evolutionary scheme long before Wilber here which included post-terrestrial expansion. And then there was Robert Anton Wilson who turned me on to both of them.

Speaking of unicorns and rainbows ( the better kind) :

There is a multiplicity of reality and the universe(s) are like musical instruments and not watches :)

What paths lie ahead for religion and spirituality in the 21st Century? How might the insights of modernity and post-modernity impact and inform humanity's ancient wisdom traditions? How are we to enact, together, new spiritual visions – independently, or within our respective traditions – that can respond adequately to the challenges of our times?

This group is for anyone interested in exploring these questions and tracing out the horizons of an integral post-metaphysical spirituality.
