Poor Mika didn't know what to make of him. Too bad Joe wasn't there to get his clock cleaned.
Thinking of my immanent demise today this one popped up for me:
I hope not too imminent! (edited)
But on that note...
Wrong spelling, should be imminent. The word denotes impending soon in time. I didn't get a medical prognosis that it was due within the near term. But at my age time is accelerating and death will come all too soon, whenever that is. So it feels imminent, however long that is. I still remember Don Juan's advise about it and use that to live now as much as I'm capable. Hence my ongoing prolific writing, for I write as if each post is my last. And who knows when that will be the case.
Yes, good advice and a good way to approach whatever days we have. Some of my students posted a picture yesterday on Facebook of themselves at a cemetery, meditating on death (after we had a conversation on the topic, and on existential passages in general, in class).
At the moment, this site is at full membership capacity and we are not admitting new members. We are still getting new membership applications, however, so I am considering upgrading to the next level, which will allow for more members to join. In the meantime, all discussions are open for viewing and we hope you will read and enjoy the content here.
