Participatory Spirituality for the 21st Century
Here's a new song I just finished --the third of an experimental series of songs I'm making using the online Seaquence program to create the synthesizer (and some of the beat) parts. I started composing this one around the Chinese New Year, and that is reflected in the title -- XK standing for Xinnian Kuaile ("Happy New Year" in Mandarin).

Beautiful visuals and sound. Nice beat. Easily trancedanceable. Pleasing trajective arc of volume and complexity. Much strong coloration. Cool.
Wonderful feedback, Ambo - thank you. I'm especially glad the arc of volume and complexity "worked" ... I wasn't sure how that would come across. I know there are a few places where I edge close to atonality, holding a couple keys in tension -- wanting that tension, and hoping it isn't too jarring.
Ah, I'd have to listen more to maybe get that nuance. Nice.

If you didn't notice, then I'm satisfied it worked. :-)
