I had the craziest dream last night about a new progressive political candidate. He started his surprise, last-minute televised speech with the passionately enunciated word, vipassana. Then he gave a rousing talk about local and global issues peppered with Sanskrit terms; got so excited that he did a series of moves combining the kumbaka and the cha-cha; and told a cautionary tale about the planet Vulcan. The newspaper headline after his speech: Vipassana and the Vulcan Ice-Mayors...

:-) I wish I had at least been able to film it. The guy with his Ghandi-style khadi vest, doing kumbakas with his cha-cha behind the podium cracked me up. I woke up laughing.
