Hi - I haven't listened to this yet - I probably will.

I used the search function to find a thread in which this analysis of mindfulness' entry into more mainstream parlance and utilization might fit. Here seems alright, eh.

This analysis looks at whether the concept which many of us short-hand-like have come to think, when we hear or say "mindfulness", is still sufficiently Buddhist. It was interesting to hear this overview which, while tracking the ebb and flow of 'mindfulness' and 'bare attention' as a technique through Buddhist history, unpacks more and related themes within Buddhism.

Ok, I just listened/watched this panel discussion of mindfulness training and research, and it was quite good in its scope and depth. it was an articulate panel with much experience.

It speaks to everyday needs for enough balance, happiness and inward development.

Thx, Bruce.

What paths lie ahead for religion and spirituality in the 21st Century? How might the insights of modernity and post-modernity impact and inform humanity's ancient wisdom traditions? How are we to enact, together, new spiritual visions – independently, or within our respective traditions – that can respond adequately to the challenges of our times?

This group is for anyone interested in exploring these questions and tracing out the horizons of an integral post-metaphysical spirituality.
