My line about practical politics is that Conservatives identify crucial issues and Liberals identify the solutions (or at least the variables which need to be included in the solution). 'Gut instinct' people cannot tell you what an issue means... but they can point out an important issue. The family dog barks at friend and foe alike.
So that's my take on this article. It's pretty superficial. It acts as if 'social response' were the major criteria -- and the main difficulties facing integrative approaches were related primarily to 'branding' or 'criticism from expert specialists' (which of course is inescapable in generalist discussion).
The actual lackluster tone and wobbliness, complained about by many integralites, is crucial to investigate. It is not, and should not, be connected to trivial issues about "the intellect" or "being impressed by impressive figures" or "being less impressed when we see more different sides of their human nature". That is gossipy and irrelevant.
My guess is that the LR seriously lags behind the other quadrants. This is true in most human affairs and philosophies and, understandably, it is true also in philosophies which try to incorporate all the others. the potential of Integral culture and individuals are vast in excess of the types of social organization and joint decision making practices being used.

We are still getting new membership applications, however, so I am considering upgrading to the next level, which will allow for more members to join. In the meantime, all discussions are open for viewing and we hope you will read and enjoy the content here.
