Hello IPS Forum Members,

I find it sad that the new Forum does not seem to work out, I always enjoyed the discussions, ramblings and explorations that one could encounter here. Anyway one important aspect for me from the beginning was to socialize with people from all over the world, chat and hear news from their unique cosmic addresses. Well it looks like I'll have to find another forum for fulfilling my socializing demands. :-(

Anyway here's a final (?) story that I want to share.
I'm on vacation (and I still get paid! Whoa, unthinkable one year ago) and I traveled back to the Black Forest to see friends and familiy. During that time, I had the opportunity to visit the new Museum "Centre Pompidou" in Metz which opened its gates only recently. (click here to see the architecture). It's absolutely beautiful, outside and inside. The exhibition with the title "Chef d'oeuvres?" was full of Masterpieces from all over the History of Art but especially from the last Century. Lots of Matisse, Picasso, also Delauny, Max Ernst, Rodin. They even had one of Yves Klein's Anthropometries! And the original Rotor Machine of Duchamp, which a friendly Staff Member turned on especially for us. But they really got me at the third and final floor of the building! Without spoiling too much, I can say that the arrangment of the works really blew my mind on a subconscious level so that I had some kind of a 'waking up' experience. They really tricked me here! I was caught by surprise and was left puzzled and dizzy with my own mind. An amazing trip to the museum.

I tried to explain my fascination to my Black Forest friends, but they not really got it. What amazes me is that such a high quality exhibition is possible in France, under the protection and design of the governement (who financed the whole building and provided the artworks). Such a thing would never be possible in Germany, where any kind of 'mind expansion' in the name of the state is still verboten. ultimately this is the consequence of Hitler and Goeblles messing with the collective unconscious and their misuse of the power of the Nation State.

In moments like this, I am happy to have two Passports: a german and a french one. This way, I can pick the best of both worlds, to profit from the best aspects of both without getting stuck in their blind spots and shortcomings.

Goodbye,

Will you be returning to your "default" location on Integral Life? Or will you return to your "default" identity of Zardoz?
Fair Sailing friend,
I've enjoyed your musings and thoughtful perspectives. I'm sure we will cross paths in the future.
Cheers,
Doug
Hey guys, thanks for having an open ear for me.

@Mark: I haven't decided yet where to go. IL is an option, but it has changed a lot and it will be difficult to discuss PMS issues there. hey funny - I never realized postmetyphysical spirituality has the same abbrevation as post-mentsrual syndrome ahahahaha

another option is going to an Ausralian Forum of a friend of mine, Morton Vulgan, back from IN. It's more like a green / shamanism / subtle energies Forum, but maybe I can introduce the PMS Syndrome over there. LOL

What paths lie ahead for religion and spirituality in the 21st Century? How might the insights of modernity and post-modernity impact and inform humanity's ancient wisdom traditions? How are we to enact, together, new spiritual visions – independently, or within our respective traditions – that can respond adequately to the challenges of our times?

This group is for anyone interested in exploring these questions and tracing out the horizons of an integral post-metaphysical spirituality.
