My guess is that the only reason we are being told about this is because the global power brokers want us to know.

The 100 year anniversary of  World War 1 is coming up.

Any takers? My bet is that they won't be able to stop themselves.

Corbett is quite good at hitting the bulls-eye:

It could be argued that the western allied powers over the last 30 have betrayed what was fought for in WW2. We have become that which we fought against: fascism. Granted, it's what I would call a 'soft' fascism at the moment; but the trajectory is certainly on a downward arc.

I suspect that those who are calling these shots see Islam in much the same way as they saw the Indians of the Americas: a problem to be pummelled into submission. This pummelling, though, is going to take a lot longer than 500 years to achieve. Good luck with that ass-holes!

What paths lie ahead for religion and spirituality in the 21st Century? How might the insights of modernity and post-modernity impact and inform humanity's ancient wisdom traditions? How are we to enact, together, new spiritual visions – independently, or within our respective traditions – that can respond adequately to the challenges of our times?

This group is for anyone interested in exploring these questions and tracing out the horizons of an integral post-metaphysical spirituality.
