Three books, two different approaches, to read as a profound reflexion on the historicity  of our post-secular age and its postmetaphysical implications. In case, for those who haven´t yet read them.

taylor has a history in canuck ville as a vocal, albeit dialogical, defender of multiculturalism, based on his understanding of froggie experience in quebec.
I've been reading about the emergence of the concept of the "person" in Christian thought, from a number of sources besides Taylor, and it actually very interesting how it leads to the emergence of the modern concept of the responsible agent. However, I fail to see how this kind of geneaological thinking in any way challenges the "subtraction" theory that Taylor rejects. Rather, it simply seems to reinforce it.

What paths lie ahead for religion and spirituality in the 21st Century? How might the insights of modernity and post-modernity impact and inform humanity's ancient wisdom traditions? How are we to enact, together, new spiritual visions – independently, or within our respective traditions – that can respond adequately to the challenges of our times?

This group is for anyone interested in exploring these questions and tracing out the horizons of an integral post-metaphysical spirituality.
