Hey folks.

I've been a member of Gaia for a long time now, since back when it was Zaadz. Although it's sad to see the place go, there is still a lot of opportunity to build and find communities in other virtual places.

As far as integral goes, Wilber was a great influence on me during my undergrad years (recently completed). As I began to investigate his sources, and cultivate my own practice, I've become a bit disillusioned with many of Wilber's conclusions, but recognize him as a good soul who has provided a portal into so many different aspects of, well, everything.

For a while now I've been greatly inspired by Jean Gebser & Teilhard, with a recent discovery of William Irwin Thompson, who is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors on these subjects. Hope to have open minded discussion on matters of the heart & soul, and not merely the head!

Hi, Jer, welcome to the new (if maybe temporary) home of IPS! I remember you from the Zaadz days and am glad to see you again.

I've yet to read anything by Thompson. If you'd like to post anything about or by him here, I'd be interested in looking it over.

Best wishes,

B.

What paths lie ahead for religion and spirituality in the 21st Century? How might the insights of modernity and post-modernity impact and inform humanity's ancient wisdom traditions? How are we to enact, together, new spiritual visions – independently, or within our respective traditions – that can respond adequately to the challenges of our times?

This group is for anyone interested in exploring these questions and tracing out the horizons of an integral post-metaphysical spirituality.
